Time Off
I haven't been in much of a blogging mood these days, and I just noticed that it has been a while since I have written. Things are trucking along, and I can't believe we are about to celebrate the 4th of July. We are heading to Concan this year with the family, for a small relaxing trip, unlike the last trip to Concan with 45 people! This should be nice. Our little fish can wade around in the water and have a blast while be all take turns watching out for the wild man. Tyler loves the water and has absolutely no fear. He think he can just walk right in and all will be fine. Lucky for us, I went and bought a life vest just incase. Mainly so I can relax and know that he has an extra safety net. I'm pretty excited! We got back from being in Galveston last weekend for our close friends wedding which Brandon and I were both in. We rented a beach house and had Brandon's family there to help us watch Tyler while were did our obligations to the bride and groom. All turned out great and we had a blast hanging out with our friends. Here are a few pictures of our summer so far...

Studio Bloom Photos
Back in March we had our family photo taken as well as pictures of Tyler. We just finished giving our parents a photo book as gifts for Mother's Day, so now I can post the pictures. I think they turned out great and I will definitely be using her services in the future!!

Great weekend
We had a really nice weekend recently. We were going to head to the rodeo on Saturday, but it turned out that we had to drive down to Clearlake to turn in Brandon's car, so we ended up going to Kemah instead. It was such a great day, beautiful sun and perfect weather. We ate our first crawfish ofthe season and it was really yummy. Tyler had so much fun being with all the people and wandering around the boardwalk. He fell asleep on the way home, thankfully since he hasn't been napping to well these days. Finally got a shot of his two front teeth that are front and center too.

Then on Sunday, we decided to head down to the rodeo afterall. Tyler saw all the animals and seemed to like watching them. It was super crowded so I know he was really distracted, but we had a great time.

I was so exhausted when we got home on Sunday, I had to lay down a bit. Then Brandon decided to do work on our patio out back, which kept him busy most of the night. I'll post pictures when he's finished, hopefully before Tyler's first brithday, it is turning out very nice.
This weekend should be fun too. Brandon's parents will be here, as well as my mom who will be here for the weekend and the following week. She will be staying with us since my Dad is already up in PA for the move. Long story. Exciting to have a litle help around here, and Tyler misses his Grandparents too!

The Bug Bites
This weekend we got some photos taken by Studio Bloom photography here in Pearland. The photographer does lots of outside photos and is very talented, http://www.studiobloomphoto.com/blog/. I am super excited to see her "sneak peek" on her blog in a few days, then the photos in a few weeks. I think everything went pretty well, except for the ants!! We were getting our family shots up on a grassy hill and Tyler was crawling around while she was getting shots of him, then he put his hand directly into an ant pile. He got about 20-30 bites, but he didn't cry at all. He did great, and I am super proud of him. I'll post the pictures when she finishes them, but here is a picture of the ant bites.

Afterwards we went to a friend of mine sons 1st birthday party. Tyler had a blast and was playing right along with the other kids. Super cute!

It's Been a While....
It has been a while since I haven't written anything here about Tyler or our family...time is passing quickly! I am not planning to play catch up at this very moment mainly since it has been a very long day out and about and ending up at the Dr. for Tyler's 9 month check up. He needed to get blood drawn to do a blood panel, check for anemia and check his iron levels. It was so horrible and I hardly want to think about it, poor baby. He did great and I wish he was old enough for ice cream because I would have gotten him one on the way home :( He went to bed early and I am so tired, so I will plan to update things soon. Tyler is growing so fast and I can't believe that I am already starting to think about his first birthday (I actually have been thinking about it for a while now, but now I can actually start to plan)! We are so blessed with a wonderfully healthy baby who is so full of life. His little personality comes out more and more every day. His latest is giving hugs when you pick him up from the carseat or crib, love it. Well, I could go on and on about my precious little one, but I am going to take advantage of a quiet house and get some rest.

What a Day!!
Today was such a great day for Tyler and our family. For some reason, everything just clicked and went so well. Brandon and I had great team work and Ty was the perfect child. We started the day making baby food, which turned out to be really fun. We made butternut squash, yellow squash, sweet potatos, and green beans. We gave Ty some green beans and he gobbled them down! I was so excited! He did really well with peas yesterday so I was hoping that he would continue to do well, and he did. I was super cute, trying to hold the spoon and opening his mouth wide. He was so excited he was smiling and laughing and kicking on his chair. It was like he was saying "Oh, now I get why you guys are feeding me this stuff. This is good!!". We ran some errands and he did great, even with only catnaps in the car. When we made it home around 5:30, I decided to give him some more cereal. He gobbled that down too and had a blast while doing so! He was laughing the whole way through his bath and onto the changing table to get his PJs on, even while rubbing his eyes, he was smiling. He is sound asleep and I couldn't feel happier. I am so proud of my little boy today. If he sleeps through the night, this day would be a perfect 10!! Here are some pictures of our great day!

I caved....
So, after contemplating for a while about how to keep track of all my memories with Tyler, I decided to get on the bandwagon and start a blog. I have always enjoyed writing, and I think that if I don't start writing down all of Tylers' memorable moments, they may slip me by. Better late than never. So, I am going to attempt to backtrack and start from the beginning of this experience and record my thoughts as well as fun moments that I have with Ty throughout the day. I am going to do a paper scrap book too, but that won't include my daily thoughts and experiences. I also think this will be very therapeutic, since I am home alone a lot (without adults...of course Tyler counts!) and I'm sure Brandon will appreciate not being bombarded with tons of ranting about this and that the second he walks through the door. I'm always thinking of so many things throughout the day and now I'll be able to share. Enjoy!!
